I have recently been diagnosed with MS.
Because I’m already a CBD user, I wanted to start pulling together information, stories, articles, and anything else that would see if CBD helped or hindered folk with Multiple Sclerosis.
I will be updating this article as and when I find things. So feel free to bookmark it if this is something that interests you.
I’m very keen to hear your experiences, please comment or reach out.
Interesting things I’ve learned from various places
- Consistency seems to be key, don’t just take drops when you have symptoms, take them regularly like you would a medication.
- Like a lot of CBD related stuff, there is a lot of hearsay and dumb articles that basically replace “CBD for x disease” and list generic things we all know CBD can do.
At the moment, there’s not enough evidence to show that products containing just CBD, like cannabis oils, can help MS symptoms. Andhttps://www.mssociety.org.uk/get-involved/campaign-with-us/campaigns-blog/5-myths-about-cannabis-and-ms
currentlythere are no CBD products licensed to treat MS symptoms.
No clinical studies have been carried out to show whether or not the cannabis oils commercially available in the UK have any benefits in MS. Anecdotally some people with MS say they have found cannabis oils to be beneficial, whilst others have seen no effect.https://www.mstrust.org.uk/a-z/cannabis
