I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Quora. For some types of question the format lends itself very well to getting high quality answers. I wanted to see what Quora CBD questions and answers would be like.
For this article I very simply typed “CBD” into Quora, opened the top 10 questions and checked them for quality of answers. This is a pretty low-tech way of judging the quality, but I figured it was better than nothing!
Top Quora CBD Questions
- What does CBD Oil Do
- Does CBD Oil help Anxiety
- Where can I buy CBD Oil
- Does CBD relieve chronic pain
- What are the negative side effects of CBD oil
Looking at the questions the first thing I noticed was 4/5 used the term “CBD Oil” not just CBD or some other way of taking CBD. I think this reflects how many people assume CBD is only found in oil form. I have to imagine this will change over time.
Unfortunately so many of the answers are just people trying to get you to go to their website. There is some generic block of text copied/pasted with a link to an equally generic guide they’ve written.
The most interesting set of answers was for the final question “what are the negative side effects of CBD oil” this is because it is hard to talk about potential negative effects of your product.
I won’t copy the entire answer here, but the best answer was thankfully the most upvoted one, which explained what most of the common negative side effects are:
- Inhibition of hepatic drug metabolism
- Dry mouth
- Increased tremor in Parkinson’s with high dose CBD
- Low blood pressure
I probably won’t be going to Quora as my first port of call when asking a CBD related question, it feels like I’d get too much spam coming back. I will probably stick to Twitter.
